Loved the Roblox game design!

My daughter absolutely loved the Roblox Game Design program! She was so engaged and learned a ton. The lessons were fun and easy for her to follow. Definitely signing her up for another course soon!

Detailed feedback on 'Data Science for Teens'

I enrolled my son in the 'data science for teens' program a few weeks ago, and I wanted to share some thoughts for other parents. The registration process was straightforward on their website; I found the annual subscription discount appealing. We didn't need any special software, which was convenient, and it works well on his tablet. The curriculum itself is quite comprehensive, breaking down complex topics into digestible modules. My son, who is usually easily distracted, seems genuinely engaged with the interactive coding challenges. The support response time was decent when I had a question about his progress tracking; I got a reply within a day. While I haven't needed to use their live instructor support yet, knowing it's available is reassuring. It feels like a robust platform for teaching advanced concepts to young learners.

Good content, slow support

I signed up my son for the Python for Kids course. The content was really well-structured and he enjoyed the interactive challenges. However, when we had a question about a specific coding problem, it took almost three days to get a reply from support. The learning itself is solid, but they could definitely improve response times for customer service.

Always reliable for coding

This isn't my first time with Code Brainiac. We've done 'scratch programming' and 'roblox game design' before. This time I signed up for 'javascript for kids'. The quality is consistently high, and my son always enjoys the lessons. It's why I keep coming back; no surprises, just good content.

Solid program, slight hiccup

I bought the 'web development for beginners' course for my niece. The content itself is great, very well structured and keeps her interested. Delivery was immediate since it's all online, which was a plus. My one minor complaint was that navigating the progress tracking dashboard felt a bit clunky at first. It took a while to figure out where everything was, but once I did, it was fine. Overall, a good experience, and she's learning a lot.

Great for beginners, easy setup

We tried the Scratch Programming for my 8-year-old. The initial setup was very straightforward, which I appreciated. He picked up the concepts quickly because of the block-based coding, and the gamified lessons kept him interested. I also liked that I didn't need to install any software, just used the browser. Tracking his progress was simple through the parent dashboard. The interface felt intuitive, and he could navigate it on his own after the first session. It's a great platform for kids just starting with coding.

My kid loves Minecraft coding

Signed up my son for 'minecraft coding' and he's totally into it. He spent hours on it last weekend. It's cool how they make it like a game. The sign-up was super easy, and he just clicked right in. No issues at all, pretty chill experience.

Good value for Python

I was looking for something affordable to get my daughter into coding. The 50% off first month deal for 'python for kids' really caught my eye. It felt like a solid investment without breaking the bank. So far, the content seems really engaging for her. Definitely worth the price I paid.

what's the deal with the free trial? is it a full week of lessons, or is it just like a demo? want to make sure my kid actually gets to try it out before I pay.

S Stephanie Lewis 2 weeks ago
It's a full 7-day trial, not just a short demo. My son got to do a bunch of lessons and interactive stuff. It gives a pretty good feel for the platform.

J Jason Turner 1 week ago
Yeah, my daughter did the free trial and it was enough for her to decide she liked it. You can access a good chunk of the content during that week.

Anyone know if they do free trials? Want to see if my little one actually likes it before committing.

P Paul H. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they usually have a 7-day free trial. Just sign up and you get a week to try it out.

J Jacob 2 weeks ago
I think I saw something about a free trial when I was looking around their site last month. Definitely check the signup page.

hey, trying to pick a coding platform for my 9-year-old. how does Code Brainiac stack up against Tynker? any real differences in what they teach or how it works?

A Aaron Lopez 1 month ago
I've used both for my son. Code Brainiac felt a bit more structured for actual coding concepts, even with the games. Tynker is fun, but sometimes it felt more like just playing than learning to code if that makes sense.

A Amanda T. 1 month ago
Yeah, I think Code Brainiac leans more into project-based learning. My daughter really took off with their Roblox course, which I don't think Tynker has as much of. Also, Code Brainiac has live support, which Tynker doesn't always advertise as readily.

can you use Code Brainiac on an iPad? Or do you need a full computer for everything?

O Olivia 1 week ago
Yep, my kids use it on their iPads all the time. It's pretty responsive.

B Brittany Wright 1 week ago
I use it on a Chromebook and an old Android tablet without issues. I think it's designed to be compatible with tablets, you just need a stable internet connection. No special software to install either, which is nice.

is there usually a good discount around November for Code Brainiac? thinking of signing up my kid then, but wondering if I should wait for a Black Friday thing.

J Jacob 1 month ago
Definitely wait if you can! They usually have Black Friday sales, I snagged a good deal last year for an annual plan. It was like 20% off or something.

A Andrew White 1 month ago
They do seasonal sales, so November is a good bet for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I'd check their site around then, or just sign up for their email list so you don't miss it.

my kid is 6 and never coded before. is Code Brainiac too advanced or do they start from absolute zero? worried it might be too much for a beginner.

R Richard Ramirez 1 month ago
Nah, they definitely start with the basics. My niece started with their Scratch program when she was 7 and picked it up super fast. They use block coding at first, which is really good for beginners.

J Jason Smith 4 weeks ago
It's designed for beginners, no prior experience needed. They have different age groups too, so your 6-year-old would likely start with the block-based stuff that's really visual and easy to grasp.

Thinking of getting a subscription for my two kids. Is there any sort of discount for siblings?

B Brittany D. 1 month ago
Yep, they do offer a sibling discount. You usually have to contact support or something to get it applied after you sign up, I think.
6
D Donna T. 1 month ago
Can confirm on the sibling discount. I got one for my two. It's usually a percentage off the second subscription.

Hey, thinking about signing up my kid for Code Brainiac. How does it compare to Tynker or CodeCombat?

Z Zach Sanchez 1 month ago
From what I hear, Code Brainiac is pretty good for younger kids with the gamified lessons. Tynker is similar but maybe a bit more expensive for what you get? CodeCombat is cool but a bit more focused on Python right away.

A Amanda N. 1 month ago
My nephew tried both Code Brainiac and Tynker. He liked the projects on Code Brainiac more, felt a bit more interactive. Tynker was okay but seemed a bit more 'lesson' focused if that makes sense.
